my model of the universe

What shaped my worldviews:

  • I spent most of my time alone, so I was heavily influenced by books that showed me different perspectives of the world.

  • I believe that my reality is a consequence of my personality. So, I always focus on breaking down personality traits to behaviours that I can take action now and change.

  • I love experimenting instead of setting goals. “Success” is just series of experiments, and the more data you have, the more accurately you can reverse engineer the results.

  • I won the lottery when it comes to my family and friends.

Worldviews/my model of the universe:

(1) the purpose of education is to help people learn to find the truth for themselves.

(2) most of suffering comes from our thoughts and ego.

(3) Love is the most important thing in life and that everyone already has it. The more you give love, the more it becomes overflowing.

(4) My “why” is to multiply the blessings I already have, to bless more people and help them multiply their own gifts.

(5) All systems are governed by people, therefore, there is a way of getting round any rule within a human ran system by contacting the person at the top of the governance structure and convincing them to help you or give you a special exception.

(6) Using my time unproductively is an anti-virtue.

(7) Most of life is a search of who and what needs you the most.

(8) Knowledge is like a tree. Building deeper roots first will allow me to withstand natural disasters. Then a strong trunk will allow me to add branches easily. Once I have a trunk and branches adding leaves is easy and requires little memory because they just fit in place. If I don’t have a branch at a certain spot, it will be almost impossible to retain a new leaf of information in that space. This is why re-reading books is sometimes extremely useful. Learning is all about growing my tree, improving and iterating on my model of the universe.

(9) People by default are good and will help me if I ask.

(10) The fastest and most effective way to learn is to get obsessed with a problem, build a project out of it, learn the necessary skills to solve it and learn from people who have solved something similar.

(11) Don’t judge but seek to understand someone. Sometimes, you have to care and love everyone from the start. To give them a chance to share with you who they are or what they need. That is the power of compassion. How caring enough to want to put a smile on someone else’s face can give you the opportunity to do much more.

(12) The true test of intelligence is the ability to get what you want from life.

(13) Each person has a model of the universe in their brain. To make a great model/map I need to gather a lot of good information, then I need to organise this information into the most correct form possible. It’s better to understand the foundations of every system rather than consuming lot of data only to produce a generalisable model. Start by crafting an excellent model and then update that model constantly. Fill data into the model to flesh it out.

(14) The fastest way to “get ahead” of 99% of people is to not to work harder but the willingness to pursue the unknown path. Instead of fighting to become no.1 in an existing game, play a game that 99% of people aren’t willing to play. Steve Jobs believed that computers aren’t just for businesses and engineers but a personal tool for creativity, expression, and everyday life. Therefore, believe in your contrarian idea, prove it right, and execute on it on a massive scale.
